My achievements include:
- Together with Chris Collison, I have written a second book “No More Consultants”
which develops some of the ideas shared in “Learning to Fly”, the best selling knowledge
management book . Details can be found on Amazon.
- I contributed to savings of $200 million per year by encouraging the sharing of what
we know about Operations Excellence etc. across BP.
- I have guided organisations to develop KM strategies that are aligned with their
business strategy.
- I facilitated Government offices to self assess their strengths and weaknesses regarding
knowledge sharing. I helped them develop the self assessment approach to identify
strengths in Analytical Capability.
- I have shared my techniques for knowledge management for agriculture in Italy, the
Netherlands and Namibia.
- Speaking at and facilitating sessions at Conferences. See my participation in the
Share Fair in Rome for Food and Agriculture organisations.
- I have provided business advice using knowledge management approaches to HM Government,
United Nations, WHO and businesses.
- I have helped introduce the AIDS Competence approach, based on KM principles, to
many countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, India, and South America to help reduce the
spread of malaria and the HIV epidemic globally.
- I coach individuals to make life and career changes.
- I have developed an understanding of how innovation works inside a large organisation
and helped develop a leadership programme to build capacity to innovate.
- I have helped build and enliven networks and communities of practice within and between
organisations.
